Welcoming Our 2026 La Sierra University Cohort of Marymount Scholars - July 10, 2026

The Marymount Education Foundation was delighted to welcome our newest cohort of Marymount Scholars and their families at La Sierra University for a special orientation marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

President Christon Arthur personally welcomed our incoming scholars and their families, reinforcing La Sierra University’s commitment to ensuring students feel supported from the moment they arrive on campus. His presence made the gathering especially meaningful and reflected the strong partnership between La Sierra University and the Marymount Education Foundation.

Throughout the orientation, scholars connected with university representatives, learned more about the resources available to them, and began building relationships with one another and with the larger Marymount Scholar community.

A particularly meaningful part of the day was seeing returning Marymount Scholars connect with the incoming cohort. By sharing their experiences, answering questions, and offering encouragement, returning scholars helped create an immediate sense of community and belonging for the newest members of the program.

We are especially grateful to President Arthur and the faculty, staff, and leadership at La Sierra University for the warmth and care they showed our scholars and families. Their commitment to helping students feel welcomed, supported, and confident made the orientation a memorable beginning to the academic year.
